Attorney to the Stars/ Author Moves into the neighborhood
MERIDEN, CT- Entertainment Lawyer, Author and Real Estate Developer James L. Walker, Jr. announced the purchase of a new 7,000 square foot office building in New Haven County, opening the second location of his expanding practice, Walker and Associates.
The Meriden building will serve as his north headquarters and sister office to his main branch in Stamford. “I am truly honored that our great staff, led by Richard Byrd and Elizabeth Dellinger, have worked so diligently to help with the purchase and establishment of yet another location where we can offer services to clients in the greater Hartford and New Haven areas .” said Walker, who primarily works at the Walker Building in Stamford.
Attorney Walker frequents the Meriden office twice a week to train staff and manage business matters. Walker’s new building, the former CT Chiropractic Building, is located on 74 S Broad Street. It is now appropriately called The Walker Building North. The structure houses three floors of office space; Meriden Chiropractic operates on the first floor, two available suites on the second floor, and Walker’s firm, Walker and Associates occupies the third.
“We are presently painting and renovating the building for the purpose of renting out the available suites to other businesses. I’m pleased to have this opportunity to expand the reach of my practice to Meriden. It’s truly a great city with a lot of business potential.” said Walker of his new property. |
Entertainment Attorney James L. Walker, Jr Tapped to Head Stellar Awards
CHICAGO -- After two years of service on the Stellar Awards Gospel Music Academy (SAGMA) Board, Gospel Entertainment Attorney James L. Walker, Jr. has been asked to serve as President of the Board of Directors of SAGMA, Inc., and usher in some new changes for the organization in 2003.
"I am especially pleased that Attorney Walker is available to serve as the President of the Board of SAGMA and I have the utmost confidence that he will take the leadership role of expanding our membership around the country,” said Don Jackson, Chairman and CEO of Central City Productions, Inc, the Founder and Executive Producer of the Stellar Awards. Walker has worked hard with the organization over the past two shows in securing the non-profit 501 c (3) status, creating corporate structure for board meetings, establishing by-laws, reviewing the membership growth and other educational initiatives for SAGMA's long term strategic planning.

WALKER PENS WHILE HE PARTIES James Walker, the ebullient entertainment lawyer from Wallingford, has been toiling over his first book this summer, but the experience has been made sweeter by doing it amid the million-dollar homes and luxurious golf courses in the Hamptons. Walker is writing a how-to book called "This Business of Urban Music," to be released by Billboard Books next year as part of a series with other books such as "This Business of Jazz" and "This Business of Classical Music."
